We are especially honoured to be invited to visit RIMBUN DAHAN, the home of Angela and Kasturi Hijjas, in Kuang
outside Kuala Lumpur. The 14-acre gardens house a herb/spice garden, an orchard and forested and wetland areas, and
a century-old restored kampung house from Perak. The house, designed by acclaimed architect Kasturi Hijjas (Maybank
Tower, Menara Telecom Tower) is also home to an underground art gallery where artwork produced by the
artists-in-residence from Australia and Malaysia is shown.
We will be given a tour of the herb garden, Taman Sari, visit the Studios, walk through the garden to visit the
Malay house and the Anglo-Indian house, see the permanent exhibition and finally take refreshments in the main
house.
We will organise car-pooling for this event and would appreciate the names of people with available places.
