CHINESE NEW YEAR TEMPLE VISIT AND LUNCH

Time: Temple Visit: 10:00am for 10:30 start
Lunch: 12:00 midday

Cost (for Temple): RM 15 for donation to Temple

Venue: Thean Hou Temple, Jalan Persiaran Endah, Seputeh (10:00 am)
and Siu Siu Restaurant (12:00 noon)

Cost (for lunch): RM30 members, RM40 guests

You won’t want to miss our Chinese New Year lunch at Siu Siu Restaurant, Lorong Syed Putra, at 12:00 noon. A variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes has been selected, and the meal will begin with the special treat of Yee Sang, so that we can share the Malaysian Chinese custom of tossing noodles for good luck. The restaurant is surrounded by rainforest, so do bring insect repellant.

For those who would like to meet before lunch there will be a visit to the nearby Thean Hou Temple, one of the largest Chinese Buddhist temples in South-East Asia. The temple was officially opened in 1989 and is dedicated to the Queen of Heaven. It will be a stunning sight decked out in its finest for Chinese New Year so be sure to bring your camera.
