This group was founded to give members the opportunity to get to know the community they live in more intimately. This is accomplished by visiting places and meeting people for new perspectives on the cultures that make Malaysia such an interesting place to live.

The Explorers group meets once a month, usually on the 2nd Monday for a morning program somewhere in or around Kuala Lumpur. Group members take turns identifying, researching and leading the group on a unique excursion.

As a rule, Explorers programming takes place the 2nd Monday of each month. Exceptions are made around Malaysian holidays. Dates are fixed for a calendar year. Here are the Explorers Dates for 2010:

January 18
February 8
March 8
April 12
May 17
June 14
July 12
August 16
September 20
October 11
November 8

Some recent programs include:
- Visiting the headquarters of Eco-Future and the home of the "Lotus Lady"
- Learning about the Kebaya and Nyonya culture
