The MCG Book Club reads a selection each month chosen for its Southeast Asian content. Due to the high level of participation, MCG has 2 groups of the Book Club. Group I meets the last Friday of the month while Group II meets the last Wednesday of the month.

Each member is asked to host and/or lead a meeting, usually once per year. Leaders provide background information and questions to stimulate the discussion.

There are 10 meetings per year, usually with December and July omitted. Attendance at meetings averages at 12 members. Discussions are quite spirited with many new insights gained because of our multi-ethnic backgrounds. It’s a great way to meet new people in an informal and lively environment!

We read both fiction and non-fiction books.
